Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Applicants to our Bachelor's programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Completed secondary education with strong academic record
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent for programs taught in English)
  • Personal statement describing your interest in educational leadership
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Interview (for shortlisted candidates)

Application deadline: May 15 for Fall admission and November 15 for Spring admission

Graduate Admission Requirements

Applicants to our Master's programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
  • Statement of purpose outlining research interests and career goals
  • Two academic or professional letters of recommendation
  • Resume/CV detailing relevant experience
  • Interview (for shortlisted candidates)

For the Educational Entrepreneurship program, evidence of entrepreneurial interest or experience is highly valued.

Application deadline: April 1 for Fall admission and October 1 for Spring admission

Doctoral Admission Requirements

Applicants to our PhD program must meet the following requirements:

  • Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent)
  • Research proposal (3-5 pages) outlining your intended research focus
  • Sample of academic writing (e.g., published article, thesis chapter, research paper)
  • Three academic letters of recommendation
  • Detailed CV highlighting research experience
  • Interview with potential faculty advisors

Application deadline: February 1 for admission in the following academic year

International Student Requirements

In addition to the program-specific requirements above, international applicants must submit:

  • Official transcripts with certified translations if not in English, Kyrgyz, or Russian
  • Copy of passport
  • Financial support documentation showing sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses
  • English language proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test)

What is the language of instruction at QH?

Undergraduate programs are offered in multiple languages, including English, Kyrgyz, and Russian. Graduate and doctoral programs are primarily taught in English. Language support is available for students who need to improve their English language skills.

Do I need prior experience in education to apply?
